Meet Celeste

I would like to introduce you to Celeste, who joined our Design Team earlier this year. Please say hi.
Here is a little from her…

Hi my name is Celeste Glover and I have been scrapping for the last seven or so years. Previously I was addicted to cross stitch, sewing and photography, until I went to a class one night and got hooked on scrapbooking. I live with my husband Alan and four great kids, Chloe 17, Alexander 14, and my twins Cameron and Amberly 12. I find inspiration from absolutely everything and can’t wait to share it all with you.

Celeste worked with the Bo Bunny Enchanted Range last Term and designed these for us. Her first class was well received, and many ladies scrapped beautiful memories of their Wedding Day or School Ball. So many compliments came back from the ladies who did this and the whole paper range sold out on the day of class.

Celeste’s blog is called Gero Girl and you can find it here… and here is the address http://www.gerogirl.blogspot.com.au/

We have been lucky enough to have this project on our front counter for the past few weeks, made with the Graphic 45 TropicaI Travelogue collection, is is full of goodness! I love these colours, the blue is so bright and fun! Of course this is available at The Scrapbook House.
If you missed seeing it on our counter in real life, you can see every page here on Celeste’s blog where she had photographed every page. Did you know this mini album was made from paper bags?

Have a fantastic day!

One life, with each other

Sisters. Brothers. We are not the same. We get to carry each other.

I finished scrapbooking a layout of the first U2 concert I ever attended. It was an amazing experience, we were right up the front… like 4 rows back, and to see the expression on my brothers’ face throughout this event, was almost better than the event itself! Priceless, how happy he was, and I am so glad to have been there to share it with him.

This is what scrapbooking is about, recording those wonderful moments, and bringing your albums to life with family stories ( and of course getting to use awesome scrapbooking products) this is the the newest of the Bo Bunny papers, this range is called Weekend Market, and it is luverly! Many of the stickers ad pages lend themselves to masculine, vintage travel, but there are lots of quotes suitable for Fathers, Dads and Grandpas too.

Live life beautifully. Cherish today, dream tomorrow and live today.

Paper dress

The new Bo Bunny Double Dot paper line has been displayed in a different way in our store today as Emily’s paper dress idea was completed on the gorgeous wire bodice given to me as a Christmas gift by Sharon. Thanks Sharon!
She chose the Tim Holtz rosette die to cut the various colours into rosettes to decorate and the new Cricut machine cut the swirls (they are from the new cartridge that is pre-installed in the newest version of Cricut)
Gorgeous huh?

And here is a closer image. There is also another sheet of paper where we have cut the words out, we love the quote from the book “The Help” You is kind. You is Smart. You is Important.

It seemed only perfect to add this and the other words and banners cut from the paper too…. now I can’t think of the name of that paper now, but it’ll come to me.We have also used the Martha Stewart Border punch and the butterfly punch. Cute huh? We have used plenty of hot glue and the paper ribbon bow is one that Emily drew for her last kids class. It’s very simple, and she has a template at the store, just ask when you are in next if you’d like to trace it off to make your own.

Thanks for looking, I hope you like!

Kira’s Advent Calendar

How darling its this? Kira used the new Blitzen Christmas papers to make this terrific advent calendar! I am so keen to make one too now, anyone else? Do we need to get a class together?
Go HERE to see the full range in store now.
each little ribbon handle pulls our to reveal a drawer just big enough for a treat or three.

I love December… you get to eat chocolate EVERY morning.

Welcome Home Collection

A homely range by Bo Bunny - much of this has sold – more stock mto arrive soon.

And the embellishments – lovin’ that teal colour! Makes me want to change my home decor to ‘ocean and clover’. :)

Blitzen Collection

Here is Bo Bunny’s second range of Christmas for this year! There’s a couple of papers in this range that I am totally besotted with, the colourings are fresh and stylish. That ‘deer’ is just gorgeous! Kira has already used this and created a fabulous little advent calendar. She posted it on our facebook page. It is the perfect size for little chocolates. She’s so clever! I am hoping she will bring it back in and I can copy it, I think I can see a scrap night or even a class coming up?

If you are putting together Christmas Cards, Layouts or Mini Albums you are going to want some of these as well…. I just know it. :) (oh, and check out that insanely cute lamp post on the 12″ chipboard and also the dimensional stickers)

Forever Fall Collection

Whilst I didn’t order in the whole range with embellishments, we did get the papers as the colours are just awesome. We generally don’t do ‘fall’ or ‘autumn’ as we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, but that doesn’t stop us loving this range of papers.

Most of these embellishments make it to the store, but if there is anything you want – I will order for you! (there are some more collection kits and trinkets coming as these have already sold as I upload this to the blog).

Sweet Tooth Collection

Predominately a very pink/brown range, but I am in love with that teal in this set.

Here are the embellishments too – they would be fabulous for little girl’s birthday cards I think – especially those darling little brads!

Father Christmas Collection

It’s never too early to get your Christmas papers, and Bo Bunny have two fabulous Christmas ranges this year. I can’t quite decide which I like better. Might have to get them both!

And what would a great range of papers be without a great range of embellishments to go with it? Complete with fabulous stamps, this set is wonderful.

Floating around the web i found this gorgeous little mailbox decorated by the talented Bo Bunny designer Tara Orr using this Father Christmas range. What a lovely idea for kids to send letters to ‘you-know-who’.

and this…

Etcetera

Here is one of the many ranges that went up on the shelves this week. So happy to see the racks full once more – feels like we’ve waited forever!

And there are embellishments too! So gorgeous! Many of these have sold out in the first 2 days on the shelves, but do not despair - I can order any item you missed out on.

Reminiscing 142 / 365
Feels like yesterday when my boys were like this. I look at this photo and can almost smell them – so divine.
This is one of my all-time favourite photos, it’s an oldie now, but still evokes so many emotions. Sigh…
