Making new look old

Seems that is such a popular look for scrapbooking, that almost everything scrapping I touch I feel the need to distress and ink. Every flower, every edge.. my poor old daubers get a work-out. Edges are roughed, photos are sanded, I even got the store an electric distresser for the last class of the term there was so much distressing in it. Love that look.

Term 4 2011 Sneak Peek Scrapbook House Geraldton Class

This terms classes is no exeption and I took it one further and did the photo as well. But I realise this isn’t something that can be easily done at home as I used a photoshop program to do it. Seeing as I haven’t found the time to teach photoshop lessons again, I thought I would offer to do this for you.

This is the orginal colours… a little playing in Photoshop and this is the result.

So… if you are taking our Term 4 classes, and have a photo in mind that you would like to use for the “Handsome” page, and you would like it looking like this aged photo… then bring it in on a USB and I will alter it for you.

Have a great day!

Yes – Our sales also continue in store… with up to 70% off and more.. crazy prices on older stock to move it out. It’s got to go! There are 50c items on most racks and 50% – 70% off many items.
We have one large tote at 50% off and one satchel (will happily fit 12 x 12 albums and more) also at 50% off. See in store for more and I am adding to it everyday.

There is nothing wrong with these items, it’s just time to move them on. You see… I need to clear some room… I have been doing a little window shopping with the new products being brought out recently at CHA and there are SO many new products coming that I know the girls will have a hard time fitting them all in!

There’s the new Graphic 45, and Prima… (I just about need a whole shop for Prima), then the Basic Grey, and not to forget our Webster’s Papers! These have always been our favourites and they never fail to delight. The new Bo-Bunny will have to fit in there somewhere too. Tattered angels have something for us too.

Graphic 45 ABC – just 2 of the collection. Gorgeous hey?

And loving the new colours by Tattered Angels in the Glimmer trade!
Hope you enjoyed your window shop! These will be available from your favourite real-life shop in the not too distant future!
Have a great day! xx

New things…

I feel new things coming my way… fresh new things. I feel happy and excited, with a hundred ideas in my head and I can’t wait to share.

I have been looking around for some links for this blog, to share some of my favourite designers and bloggers. This has to be my first! Love this canvas… made by Patricia.

When I get a blog roll… she will be on it! I love her use of Glimmermist, can’t wait to get some of that Glam too! This canvas is excellent and not only do I LOVE the saying on it… I love how colourful the lettering is. Now it’s got me thinking my next canvas might have stamping on it instead of painting.. uh oh… another project to do.

You can visit Patricia Komara at http://plkomara.blogspot.com/

I also think I might need to buying one of these…

Who says advertising doesn’t pay? God he’s hunky! I’d buy whatever he’s peddling.

And here is a little something I have been working on lately for our Wednesday Cardmaking Class. I do love tulips!

Enjoy your day.

Up for the vote

February challenges are on display in store now… it’s amazing to see the creativity of all who completed the challenge. Wow.

I am not going to put up the pages for voting online… but I will photograph a section of each to show you what sort of talent our Scrapbook House customers have! The very best!

When you are next in please take a minute to vote for your favourite, the girls all put so much effort in and they are all winners, I wish they could all get a prize.
