Have a great day
Nothing like new things to inspire you and the new ranges have been inspiring Natalie aplenty!
Here is a page she worked on today using the new Sunkiss Range. I love the layers, even the bottom layer has texture past that has been embossed and glimmered. Nat has used the new papers, journal cards (cleverly used as frames for her gorgeous photos), alphabet stickers, as well as the famous Prima flowers.
The Prima “SONGBIRD” collection of papers is soft and pretty. Here she has used delicious Prima flowers, Twiddlychip, tea-dyed muslin and Prima embellishments, that little bird on a branch is cut from one of the papers. I can also see a few Collections butterflies hidden in there too. Always fun looking at Natalies’ work, the more you look, the more you see.
It’s not all fun and games and dressing up you know! We actually do get some scrapping done.

Lucky me – getting to spend the weekend scrapping and chatting with some of my favourite buddies! Why is it that time flies when you are having fun and all too soon it’s pack-up-time?
Something magical happened on the weekend too – but I will have to wait to tell you, (because I am working and not supposed to be lolling about on the computer).
But I wanted to share with you one of the pages I scrapped on the weekend of my boy. No flowers, but got to use pearls 🙂
This is inspired by the lovely work of Gabrielle Pollacco. Loved getting my inks out on the chipboard and for stamping, I used chalk inks, distress inks and stains. These are Authentique papers, some altered as well as a few scrap thrown in using left-overs. (pastel blue and caramel as well as the lettering) Love left-overs! Hero art pearls and stamps (shells and script) and Scrap FX chipboard – the best bit and Prima swirly pearls too.
I didn’t get a whole lot of pages completed over the weekend, enough to come home satisfied that I have finished projects to put in my albums and plenty of inspiration to create more.
Have a great day!
Do you ever wish for the World Traveler life? Sometimes I do… sometimes I do not. I am happily a homebody… but love to dream! So many places to see, so many cultures and creations to admire. Me thinks it’s time to look at visiting a new place… just for a little while.
How about you? Been anywhere lately? Planning a trip? Planning a trip home perhaps.
On the subject of World Traveler, we have most of the range of papers BY Teresa Collins and the stickers are back in stock again. The memory album kits have had their second shipment, and there is one left on the shelf. Let me know if you’d like me to save you one from the next order.
Click here to see the full range
This is actually the new WORLD TRAVELER binder kit. It comes with all the pages and the KRAFT binder. So here is a little peek, you can see more here
I love these chipboard words, shapes and off-the-page products. Because they are sold ‘raw’ (or “naked” hee hee) you can do so much with them. Ink them, Glimmermist spray them, or cover them with papers. You can paint them or chalk them or add crackle mediums and texture paste and go to arty-town~!
We have so many of these chipboard babies in store already, but I am doing another order soon, (they KEEP bringing out new stuff!) so please head over to the ScrapFX Website and take a look at their awesome range of products. If there is a piece you’d like, flick me an email (Contacts at the top of this page) and I will add it to my next order.
I love Michelle Logan’s work, she is on the design team for Scrap FX, and if you have another minute (and you KNOW there is always another minute on the computer.. just one more minute…) head over to her blog and check out the creation above in more detail as well as many other works!
Also… check out the Scrap FX Gallery for lots of cool pages, each listing the items used… so easy for you to re-create.
Here is a layout completed recently on a ‘Winter Girly Weekend’ and it was documenting our previous ‘Summer Girly Weekend’. I used Pink Paisley paper and glimmermisted it, then stamped with a script stamp in a few places. 7 gypsies rub-ons (love the colours in these) were added, then Prima and Tim Holtz ribbons are layered up (and misted) as well as a punched border using black card. The lamp post is Cricut cut using Heritage, and then a few Prima flowers (and one from Petaloo) Hidden in there are some filmstrip ribbon by Tim Holtz ,some Martha butterfly punches and a new trinket by Bo-Bunny. The scrolls are Twiddleybitz Nero range and the title is by Scrap FX. This is painted white, then sprayed with glimmermist. It is also backed it with black and hand cut.
Scrap FX is a laser cutting and etching business, designing and manufacturing cardboard (chipboard), acrylic, wood, and paper products for wholesale in the craft industries: scrapbooking embellishments, cardmaking, titles, handmade invitations, home décor and more.

Whilst we are trying to clear so many things from the shop, with our great sale, this lovely order came in so I just had to post it.
Bo Bunny’s Barefoot and Bliss. Gorgeous! Also the Zooology collection. Be quick or miss out!
Here is a layout from BoBunny using Barefoot and Bliss.
And my 365 photographic entries for the past couple of days
pretty 141 / 365
another flower shot… sorry. Been busy! Will be busy for a while longer too! Love seeing the flowers coming to life in the garden.
Reminiscing 142 / 365
Feels like yesterday when my boys were like this. I look at this photo and can almost smell them – so divine.
This is one of my all-time favourite photos, it’s an oldie now, but still evokes so many emotions. Sigh…
Have a great day!
Don’t you just love it when you are so busy that time flies? Or do you dislike it? I am not sure. On one hand it’s nice to be so active… on the other I feel like I am on a merry-go-round, it’s all fun till you want to get off and you can’t. You have to ride it out. But it’s fun, so it’s ok. This is me, saying the same stuff I say at the end of every term, love it, but am looking forward to school holidays. My kids have been working very hard this term (and for those interested in math scores – the boys work paid off, they both got B’s – without leaving classroom or aid) Now they want a kitten as a pay-off. Lord help me!
Another week of awesome classes gone by. Book now for next term and also for the kids during the school holidays. Here’s a pic of Saturday’s kids class. Fun! And they all got it done on time, cutting, inking, mounting, string, and all! They are such legends in our kids class.
We made some more kits up (lucky to anticipate another over-full class) and we have one little lonely kit left for someone who would like to put it together. Full instructions and photograph included. $19.95
And here are a couple of my 365 entries for this week from around my yard. We have been getting some lovely rainfall.
Native 138 / 365
The rain washed most of the dust… not all, and will bring more flowers. Everything will be clean and shining soon.
Vinca 139 / 365
My garden is loving all this rain we are getting… it really suffers being on water restrictions.
My boys on the other hand are NOT loving the rain… it’s too loud on the tin roof through the night. Ah well… can’t win all the time.
Down the weedy path 140 / 365
The yard is transformed into green now the rains are here and it’s a welcome change, even if most of the green are weeds. 🙂 Thought I’d snap this little angel reading a book under my daughters archway to the cubby. She’s busy all day today at school, (yes it’s Sunday) for a “write a book in a day” activity to raise money for Princess Margaret Hospital. From 8am to 8pm! Written, printed, illustrated, bound and presented. I keep thinking about her and think she will be one tired little miss when she gets home. 2 half hours to go.
Take care. Enjoy you day where ever you are. x

Loving our Basic Grey Page of the Month Kits! Michele and I scrapped last night, doing up classes and then we whipped up another Basic Grey kit too. Wow, what a productive night, to do 2 double pages in one night, but the photos still need to be added before I can share, so I have sent them to the printer tonight. Luckily the 365 photo project gives me plenty to choose from. Do you find it hard to find photos sometimes? I must admit that I do. Sometimes from a lack of ‘printed’ photos and sometimes from an overwhelming number of photos there’s too many to wade through. I think the simple 35mm times were much easier.. click, take it in, pick them up, have them forever. Now… well, oh my, there’s photos everywhere… more than ever, but somehow less than ever. Does that make sense? Am I rambling again. Sorry. Maybe Michele and I shouldnt have stayed out so late last night.
So in addition to those 2, I added the photos to the first kits and finished these off with my titles and journaling. These kits have me doing layouts, following instructions and ‘getting it done’. Not always colours and patterns I would choose (Lordy that Lauderdale had my eyebrows furrowed in distaste) but they end up looking pretty good.
And they are DONE. “Done” is a great word for me… I like it a lot. I don’t get to say it a lot. Done. Done. Done. Done.
I love that you get loads of alphas with these… so I could make up my titles to suit the layout. This is obviously very different to the original.
Now to get those jobs done so one can get onto the new “Sweet Threads” kit. ( There is one (just one) subscription left if anyone is keen to join us on Page of the Month.)
The votes have been counted and the winner is….
Congratulations Jo, your double page layout using the January Challenge pack is beautiful. You have won yourself a $15 voucher to spend in store, as you wish.
